Roleplay Jam FAQ

1. What exactly is a Roleplay Jam?

A Roleplay Jam is a unique, immersive event where participants assume avatars and navigate through short real-life business scenarios in a virtual world. It's a space for women and non-binary individuals in tech to learn, grow, and connect. By experimenting with different roles and strategies, participants can gain deeper insights into their own communication patterns, challenge their comfort zones, and prepare for real-life professional situations.

2. Do I need any special skills or experience to participate?

Not at all! The only prerequisites are curiosity and openness. Whether you're a seasoned roleplayer or completely new to the concept, our Roleplay Jams are designed to be accessible and rewarding for everyone. Our community provides a safe, supportive environment where everyone is welcome to learn and grow at their own pace.

3. Can I bring my own personal challenge or situation to roleplay with others?

Absolutely! Participants are encouraged to bring their own stories or scenarios to roleplay. You can also choose a scenario from our extensive database of stories other women leaders have experienced in their careers. The goal is to provide you with a relevant, beneficial experience that helps you navigate your own professional journey.

4. What benefits can I expect from participating in a Roleplay Jam?

Roleplay Jams provide a range of benefits, from enhanced communication skills and perspective-taking to increased self-awareness and problem-solving abilities. By engaging in these interactive simulations, you can uncover habitual patterns, confront barriers, and learn to navigate complex relational interactions. Most importantly, it's an opportunity to grow, connect with others, and have fun!
